Dirty rivers, a spooky stately home and hospital’s ‘extreme measures’

Hello and welcome back to our weekly round-up of the best in-depth local journalism in Norfolk and Suffolk. We hope you had a good festive break. Over Christmas we published a few stories which didn’t make our last newsletter. We examined issues from river pollution to the far-right group targeting Norwich households. We also explored a spooky stately home which used to be one of Suffolk’s finest buildings.

We hear you like investigations. That’s great - because so do we.

We believe in the power of persistent, impactful journalism and want to share our work with you in our first newsletter. Every Sunday morning, we’ll be sending you the best of our stories from our Investigations team in Norfolk and Suffolk - Editor Tom Bristow, Norfolk reporter Joel Adams and joining us from next month Suffolk reporter Sarah Burgess - and, where we can, giving you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how we got the story.
